An evening of celebration was held at the Grace-Millsom Centre on Wednesday 23 November 2022 to honour captains and vice-captains for their contributions to their schools and the community.
Outgoing captains and vice-captains from Primary Schools and Incoming 2023 captains and vice-captains from High Schools were represented at the ceremony. Councillor's, Principals of the schools along with parents and friends also attended.
The annual reception is an excellent opportunity to recognise the young leaders in our community, according to Mayor Peter Walker.
"It takes great courage to become a leader in our schools, and the reception is an opportunity to acknowledge this.
"We're lucky to have such motivated young leaders in our community, and I am confident that each school is in good hands with their new leaders!" Mayor Walker continued.
