Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after a scooter with no registration plates failed to stop for police in Brighton last month, Victoria Police say.
Investigators observed the black scooter leaving a service station on Marine Parade, Elwood about 11.40pm on 19 September.
Police attempted to intercept the scooter however it did not stop for police and continued travelling along Marine Parade towards Brighton.
The scooter was then observed turning onto St Kilda Street in Brighton against a red traffic control signal before it travelled off in an unknown direction.
Two men were on the scooter at the time.
The driver is described as being aged in his mid to late 20’s, Caucasian, skinny to medium build with short, sandy blonde hair.
He was wearing a black hooded top and was carrying a black and gold motorcycle helmet.
The passenger is described as being Caucasian and was wearing brown shorts and a dark-coloured top.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Police have released the below image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
