National Skills Week, which runs 24-28 August, highlights how skills can help people get the edge when it comes to starting a career or changing jobs - and it is something the National Careers Ambassador, Scott Cam, is passionate about.
Mr Cam said having diverse skills up your sleeve is always an advantage, and that his own experience shows that Vocational Education and Training (VET) can take you just about anywhere you want to go in life.
"Trade life has changed quite dramatically from when I started, but that's fantastic," Mr Cam said. "It's always going to keep on changing and that's where VET comes in. VET is a great way to start your career, change your career, or boost your career."
