Emergency services are on the scene after a sea plane crashed into Jerusalem Bay off Cowan.
The plane, which is believed to have several occupants on board, went down about 3.15pm today (Sunday 31 December 2017), however no specific details are available.
A search and rescue operation is continuing to locate the plane, which is believed to be submerged, NSW Police say.
No further information is available at this stage.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
