Search and rescue - Missing man, Kandanga

Police have commenced a search and rescue operation and are seeking public assistance to locate a 53-year-old man missing from Kandanga since Saturday afternoon.

Mark Popping (pictured below) was last seen walking towards Kandanga railway station around 4pm on Saturday (September 18).

Police along with volunteers from the State Emergency Service (SES) will focus on areas including paddocks, railway corridor and creek line.

Mark is described as Caucasian, approximately 185cm tall with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black pants, a blue hooded jumper and no shoes.

Police hold serious concerns for his welfare as this behaviour is out of character.

Anyone with information in relation to Mark's whereabouts is urged to contact police.

Police are also asking for anyone who travelled within Kandanga on Saturday, September 18 and has dashcam footage to contact them.
