Search and rescue operation at Kamerunga

Police are currently conducting a search and rescue operation for a missing 27-year-old man at Kamerunga.

The man was reported missing from Aeroglen yesterday (Thursday July 20) and was last seen on Wednesday July 19.

Police and the man's family hold concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition and his disappearance is out of character.

Investigations indicate that he may be in the vicinity of the Barron River which is where police are currently focusing their search efforts, including the dog-squad, drone operator, PolAir, dive squad and foot patrols.

Police kindly urge people to avoid the area so not to interfere with the search effort.

Investigations continue.
