Tasmania Police Search & Rescue units, SES volunteers and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter are currently conducting a land and air search in the Glen Huon/Huonville area after 2 adults and 4 children failed to return home from a 4WD expedition, Tasmania Police say.
The family who are from the area are equipped with food and water and are travelling in a green Nissan Patrol, registration number E51UX.
Concern was raised by a family member around 10:30pm.
A police forward command post has been established at Huonville Police Station.
Any member of the public who sees the vehicle are asked to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444.
