Search for man in Craigmore after patrol car rammed, SA

Police are currently searching the Craigmore area after a patrol car was rammed during a police pursuit this afternoon, according to SA Police.

Police attempted to pull over a lime green Ford Falcon sedan vehicle on Yorktown Road, Craigmore about 1.20pm on Tuesday 6 December, however, the driver refused to stop.

The Falcon then rammed the patrol car and officers terminated the pursuit near the intersection of Bower Road and Somerset Grove. The driver was last seen running on Somerset Grove, then west on Spaxton Crescent.

Police are searching the suburb with the assistance of the police helicopter (PolAir) and Police Dogs Ice and Ruger.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, with a large build, tattoos, short light-coloured hair, wearing a white top with black sleeves, beige pants and a gold chain around his neck.

Anyone who spots this man is asked to call the police assistance line immediately on 131 444.

Local schools are operating as normal, with no need to lockdown.
