Search for missing Ulverstone man continues, TAS

The investigation into the disappearance of 58 year old Ulverstone man, Noel Joseph Ingham, who was reported missing on 4 October 2016 is continuing, Tasmania Police say.

Last month, police searched the Ulverstone refuse centre for evidence that may be linked to Mr Ingham’s disappearance.   Police are not yet in a position to release details of what was located.  However, after a call for assistance from the community, a number of people came forward with information relevant to the investigation.

Police are now focussing the search at an area off the Railton Road, near Quicksand Road.

"As a result, investigators have located evidence in connection with the disappearance of Mr Ingham, but due to operational reasons I am unable to elaborate further at this time.  It is hoped that further investigation in this area will uncover further evidence," said Detective Senior Sergeant David Chapman.

"We are in close contact with Mr Ingham’s family in Queensland.  His siblings and children have the right to know what happened to their loved one.

"I urge anyone else who may have knowledge, or involvement in any way, in the disappearance of Mr Ingham to come forward to us and tell us what they know," he said.
