Search for missing womand kids in Barnawartha

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing woman Kelly Anne Smith and her grandchildren in Barnwartha, Victoria Police say.

The 46-year-old was last seen leaving Richardson’s Bend Camp Ground on Kings Road in Barnwartha with her two grandkids Marley Bolestra, 6, and Sophie Heath, 4 about 6pm on Saturday 23 September.

They were last seen on foot however may have hitchhiked on the Hume Freeway near Barnawartha.

Police and family members hold concerns for the trio’s welfare and a search has been launched involving local police, SES and other agencies.

Kelly is described about being about 175cm tall, with a medium build and black shoulder-length hair.

She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with ‘Alaska’ on the front and black and white pants.

Marley has shaved sandy/brown hair and was wearing a white singlet, grey knee-length shorts and no shoes.

Sophie has shoulder-length blonde hair with a fringe and was last seen wearing black and white striped leggings with pumpkins on the knees, a blue t-shirt with ‘FILA’ on the front and no shoes.

Police have released an image of Kelly and the two girls in the hope someone may recognise them and provide information on their whereabouts.
