Search for sedan following West Gate Bridge crash

Police are searching for a sedan with damage on the passenger side following a crash that has caused extensive delays on the West Gate Bridge this morning, Victoria Police say.

A truck was travelling outbound when a sedan has crashed into the side of it about 8.20am.

The truck has then swerved into another lane and collided with a second truck, causing it to hit the bridge barrier and cause extensive damage.

When police arrived, the sedan had left the scene.

There were no injuries reported in the collisions.

It’s expected there will be delays throughout the day while repair work is carried out.

It’s possible these delays will continue over the weekend.
