Search on for Job Matching Service providers

Roger Jaensch,Minister for Skills, Training and Workforce Growth

As part of the Tasmanian Liberal Government's continued commitment to getting more Tasmanians into work, a new Job Matching Service grant program is now open for experienced providers to apply.

Part of our Working Tasmania commitment, the Job Matching Service will replace our COVID-19 Skills Matching Service and it will be expanded to support more vulnerable job seekers and those facing barriers to employment into the labour force.

Up to $1.2 million is available to an eligible organisation(s) to deliver the program that will support people facing specific employment difficulties to re-engage with work or formal education and training.

The Job Matching Service will focus on those Tasmanians who have lost their job, people aged 18-25 years, people aged 45 years and older who have been out of the workforce for 12 months or more, and migrants who have been residing in Tasmania for more than six months, have working rights and are unemployed or underemployed.

The successful organisation(s) will provide skills assessment, careers coaching, employment advice and connect job seekers to employers, or relevant service providers or agencies.

Critically, it will support referrals to and from other Jobs Tasmania programs such as the Job Ready Fund, Rapid Response Skills Initiative, Jobs Hubs and Australian Government services where appropriate.

The successful provider will be selected on a competitive basis by Jobs Tasmania.

The new Job Matching Service will complement the Tasmanian Government's Regional Jobs Hub Network and is just one part of our commitment to help more Tasmanians right across the state find a suitable and fulfilling job, or gain the skills to get them there.
