Search to continue at Manna Hill, SA

Tomorrow officers from Mounted Operations Unit will assist at Manna Hill in conducting a comprehensive ground search in an effort to find Tanja Ebert's remains, according to SA Police.

For the past two days Major Crime detectives with the assistance of STAR Group officers, search coordinators, officers from State Tactical Response Group and mining experts have been searching historical mines and wells as well as areas of interest pointed out by locals. All areas have been cleared and Tanja’s remains have not been located.

Tanja Ebert has been missing since Tuesday 8 August, she is presumed murdered.

Manna Hill

Ms Ebert's husband, Michael Burdon, 41, fatally shot himself at the couple's property on Wednesday 16 August, while police were present at the station making inquiries into his wife's disappearance.

A wide scale search, including significant excavation works, of the 410 square kilometre property at Mannahill was conducted on Friday 18 August, with the assistance of STAR Group search coordinators, PolAir, SES volunteers and Mounted Police, but failed to find any trace of the young mother.
