A search is currently underway in the Stormlea area for a missing 4-year-old girl who was last seen around 2.30pm today.
Personnel from Tasmania Police, Tasmania SES, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, are searching the Stormlea Road area for the girl who was last seen playing in a backyard with two dogs, one of which is missing.
The little girl has long brown curly hair and was last seen wearing pink leggings, a light yellow top, and gumboots.
Due to the isolation of the area, and to ensure a coordinated and safe search, police advise that sufficient resources are currently deployed to the area and further assistance is not sought at this time.
