Search underway for missing man in West Wyalong

A search is underway to locate a man reported missing at West Wyalong, NSW Police say.

Danny Leigh Block, aged 54, was last seen about 8.15am yesterday, leaving his home on Railway Road, West Wyalong.

Mr Block has an acquired brain injury and suffers from a physical disability which requires the use of an electric wheel chair to move around.

Relatives and carers contacted police that evening when he did not return home and have serious concerns for his welfare.

Officers from Griffith Local Area Command commenced searching possible locations for Mr Block last night, but have been unable to locate him.

A co-ordinated search of bushland surrounding West Wyalong was activated today, involving resources from police, SES and the Rural Fire Service.

Anyone with information regarding the location of Danny Block is urged to contact West Wyalong police or Crime Stoppers.
