Second man charged after brawl at Forbes

A second man has been charged following investigations into a brawl in the state's Central West earlier this week.

About 11.15pm on Wednesday 29 September 2021, emergency services were called to Scrivener Street in Forbes, after reports of an alleged fight between a group of people.

Upon arrival, officers attached Central West Police District found a man lying on the road with injuries to his head, as well as a stab wound to his torso.

The 35-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Orange Base Hospital for treatment. He remains in a stable condition.

About 5.15am yesterday (Thursday 30 September 2021), police arrested an 18-year-old man at Forbes. He was charged and remains before the courts.

Following further investigations, police arrested a 28-year-old man at a home on Farnell Street, Forbes about 12.15pm yesterday (Thursday 30 September 2021).

He was taken to Parkes Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man was refused bail to appear at Orange Local Court today (Friday 1 October 2021).

Investigations are continuing.
