Second man charged over Armed Robbery at West Burleigh, QLD

A 24-year-old man has been charged in relation to the alleged armed robbery of a man at West Burleigh on Friday, November 30, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged around 4.15am, a 27 year-old man was sitting in his car on Tallebudgera Creek Road, when another man has entered the vehicle armed with a knife and demanded money.

The man allegedly stole a laptop before a second man stole the man’s mobile phone.

He was not physically injured during the incident.

On Friday December 1, a 20-year-old Coolangatta man was charged with one count each of armed robbery, possessing drug utensils and possessing a knife in a public place and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

On Saturday December 9, a 24 year-old Labrador man was located at Broadbeach and has now been charged with one count of armed robbery.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
