Second man dies after workplace incident near Albury, NSW

A second man has died following a workplace accident in the state’s south.

Just before 1.30pm yesterday (Thursday 24 May 2018), emergency services were called to a paper mill at Ettamogah near Albury, after reports of an accident.

Four employees were treated and taken to Albury Wodonga Health – three of them in a critical condition and one seriously ill.

A 37-year-old Lavington man, died this morning (Friday 25 May 2018). A 28-year-old Wodonga man died yesterday.

Officers from Murray River Police District will be assisting SafeWork NSW with inquiries into the events leading up to the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
