Second person charged over murder of man, NSW

A second person has been charged following the death of a man at Forest Lodge last week, NSW Police say.

Emergency services found a 30-year-old man suffering head injuries about 12.40pm on Friday 10 August 2018, at the intersection of Hereford and Ross streets, Forest Lodge.

Officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, a man and woman were arrested after attending Newtown Police Station about 6pm yesterday (Monday 13 August 2018).

The 23-year-old woman was charged with murder and remains before the courts.

The man, aged 28, was taken to hospital for treatment to a pre-exiting facial injury before being released about 11am today (Tuesday 14 August 2018).

He was taken to Newtown Police Station where he was charged with murder.

He was refused bail and appeared at Newtown Local Court today where he was refused bail to appear before the same court on Tuesday 9 October 2018.
