Second wanted man charged over participation in organised criminal group

Detectives have charged a second man wanted over his alleged participation in organised criminal groups in Sydney's south-west, as inquiries continue to locate a third man.

In December last year, detectives attached to the State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad issued an appeal for public assistance to locate three men wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.

On Wednesday 29 December 2021, police arrested and charged a 25-year-old man. He remains before the courts.

Following further investigations, officers arrested a man – now aged 31 – at Parramatta Police Station about 5pm yesterday (Monday 10 January 2022).

The outstanding arrest warrant was executed, and the man was charged with nine offences including; two counts of possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), two counts of deal with property proceeds of crime, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and drive motor vehicle menaces another with intent.

The Greystanes man was refused bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 11 January 2022).

Inquiries are continuing to locate a 26-year-old man wanted on outstanding warrants.
