Second woman arrested over alleged role in multi-million dollar corporate fraud, NSW

A second woman has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a multi-million dollar fraud against a financial institution.

In February 2018, detectives from the State Crime Command's Financial Crimes Squad established Strike Force Napthali to investigate allegations of corrupt commissions being paid for contracts with a financial institution valued at more than $40 million over a five-year period.

A 43-year-old woman was arrested and charged last Friday (1 March 2019). She remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, Strike Force Napthali detectives arrested a 43-year-old woman at the Sydney Police Centre in Surry Hills about 11am today (Tuesday 5 March 2019).

The woman, who is a former executive employee of the financial institution, will be charged later today.
