Are you interested in making a difference and building lasting connections? The Wollongong Volunteering Expo on Wednesday 21 May at the Wollongong Town Hall is the perfect place to start.
Volunteering plays an important role in the delivery of services, events and programs that help make our city a great place to live. For volunteers, it can also provide valuable experience and can build relationships that last a lifetime.
The Expo is being held during National Volunteers Week (19 – 25 May) and will see more than 40 local organisations that provide community, health, children's, homeless and wildlife services available to answer your questions and connect you with opportunities that suit your lifestyle.
"Volunteers are the backbone of many not-for-profit organisations across our city, and National Volunteers Week is a great time to acknowledge their work and the incredible impact they make in our community," said Acting Lord Mayor of Wollongong Councillor Linda Campbell.
"The Wollongong Volunteering Expo is a one-stop shop for all things volunteering. It is a great way to hear from other volunteers, match up with organisations that share your values, and find opportunities that suit your needs and availability.
