A senior constable from southern region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 40-year-old man has been charged with one count of sexual exposure.
The incident occurred on 24 April while the police officer was on-duty.
Police will allege he was not in uniform or performing police duties at the time.
He was charged on summons to appear before a magistrates' court at a later date.
