Senior Enlisted Leader Assignment Announced 12 May

The Office of the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff announced today the following assignment:

U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Raymond S. Harris has been selected to replace U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Major Rafael Rodriguez as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader, U.S. Southern Command.

Command Sgt. Maj. Harris currently serves as the Command Sergeant Major, U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command, and previously served as the Command Sergeant Major for U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. Command Sgt. Maj. Harris brings a wealth of joint and operational experience to USSOUTHCOM.

On behalf of the Joint Force, we are grateful for Sgt. Maj. Rodriguez's leadership example, his lengthy career dedicated to serving our Nation and our military, and the unwavering commitment and sacrifice of his family and him.
