Toowoomba Region seniors are invited to register their places at the Mayor's Over 80s Christmas parties in the coming month.
Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio said Council encouraged eligible residents to register their intention to attend any of the free Christmas parties that were scheduled for Toowoomba, Millmerran and Crows Nest in coming weeks.
"My Council colleagues and I are pleased to host our seniors for an enjoyable morning in the lead-up to Christmas," Mayor Antonio said.
"Our senior citizens have made valuable contributions to the community and this is a special way to show our gratitude for their efforts.
"The celebrations are a popular fixture on the Toowoomba Region events calendar where we encourage residents to dress up, sing carols and enjoy a morning of festive cheer.
