Seniors Program Grants Set To Open

Campaspe Shire Council's Seniors Program Grants will open on Monday, 30 June. The grants aim to increase health, wellbeing and social connection among senior members of the community through the funding of concepts that not only promote positive ageing but are also inclusive and accessible.

Campaspe Shire Council's Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell welcomed the opening of the grants program for 2025-26 and said he hoped the grants would help foster social connection and participation among the senior members of the Campaspe community.

"We are launching the Seniors Program Grants with the heartfelt hope that our older residents will find new opportunities to connect, participate, and thrive," Cr Mackrell said.

"Funding of up to $1000 is available for eligible projects, events or activities; but these grants are more than money — they're facilitating an invitation for our senior community members to stay engaged, share wisdom, learn new skills, and feel the strength of the wider community around them."

The program is an opportunity for not-for-profit community groups, organisations and clubs to fund a seniors-focused event, program or activity. Proposed events could be part of Seniors Week celebrations in October, which will have the theme "Connect. Create. Celebrate" - but this is not mandatory. Council is seeking to fund projects that encourage residents from its nine groups of priority to become involved.

"We're keen to see new and creative projects that effectively address social isolation for our older residents across the shire," Cr Mackrell said.

"Submit your application and help make a positive impact in the lives of our seniors."

Applications must be submitted using the Seniors Program Grants application form and can be handwritten or entered online via the Now Open section on Council's website at www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/NowOpen from 30 June. Applications close 3 August 2025. Successful applicants are expected to be notified by 5 September 2025.

If you require assistance in writing your application, you can contact Council's Community Development Team on 5481 2200.
