Series of commercial burglaries in south east suburbs.

Police are investigating a number of burglaries at business in Melbourne’s south east that occurred on Monday morning, Victoria Police say.

Kingston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told three offenders attended a sporting club on Glennie Ave, Oakleigh South in a white dual cab utility about 1.45am.

Two offenders were able to gain access to the club by smashing a glass panel in a door, before forcing open a safe and taking a sum of cash and alcohol.

Investigators believe the same offenders later attended two gardening businesses on Springvale Road, Braeside about 3.15am.

The men gained entry to both businesses by forcing open the doors.

It is believed the offenders stole an amount of cash from both businesses, and also a quantity of gold nuggets.

Detectives believe the men struck a third time, this time at a restaurant on the Nepean Highway in Highett.

Two of the three offenders forced entry to the restaurant before stealing an amount of cash.

On each occasion it is believed that one of the offenders remained in the ute, described as a Mitsubishi Triton or similar.

One offender is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, with a sold to obese build, and was wearing a black long sleeve top, dark pants, a baseball cap, and blue or purple runners.

Another offender is described as having a slim to medium build, and was wearing a long sleeve blue and white flannelette shirt, grey tracksuit pants with lettering along the left leg, a black baseball cap with orange writing and a grey hoodie.

Investigators have released CCTV images, taken from the first incident, of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
