Series of thefts from shopping centres

Police are investigating following a series of thefts from stores in shopping centres in Narre Warren and Cheltenham in February and March, Victoria Police say.

The first incident took place at a jewellery store in a shopping centre in Cheltenham on 25 February.

About 3.45pm two unknown men entered the store, opened a display cabinet and took gold bracelets valued at $11,640.

The second incident took place at a sunglasses store at a shopping centre in Narre Warren on 2 March.

The two men entered the store, opened a draw and stole nine pairs of sunglasses before leaving.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
