Serious assault at Hotel in Norwood, SA

Police from the Eastern Adelaide Local Service Area are investigating an assault that occurred at a hotel on The Parade at Norwood at about 5.45pm on Saturday 1 October, according to SA Police.

It is alleged that a 69-year-old man from Hectorville was struck over the head with a bottle, causing a significant laceration.

He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

The alleged suspect has been identified as a 61-year-old man known to the victim.

He left the scene prior to the arrival of police and investigators have not yet been successful in locating him.

Enquiries are continuing, and a number of interstate leads are being followed.
