Police are investigating following a serious collision in Bass this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
It’s believed a vehicle on Soldiers Road has turned on to the Bass Highway just after 4.20pm when it was struck by a vehicle travelling north along the highway.
The female driver of the first vehicle, a woman aged in her 70s, sustained serious injuries and is still being treated at the scene.
The male driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital for observation.
Both drivers were the sole occupant of their vehicles.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
