Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a serious multiple vehicle crash in the Blue Mountains this evening, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway at Lawson about 5.50pm today (Thursday 12 April 2018) after reports of a serious crash.
Officers from the Blue Mountains Police Area Command attended and located several vehicles had been involved in the collision with a number of people suffering serious injuries.
Police have urged motorists to avoid the area if possible and use the Bells Line of Road.
Officers have also urged anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
