Serious crash - Lake Conjola, NSW

Police continue with their inquiries into a serious motor vehicle crash at Lake Conjola yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 4pm on Saturday 13 August 2016, a Nissan Navara utility being driven by a 69-year-old man was travelling south on the Princes Highway.

As the Nissan approached the intersection with Lake Conjola Road, a Honda CRV driven by a 34-year-old woman attempted to make a right hand turn onto the Princes Highway.

The two vehicles collided and the woman was trapped in the Honda and eventually released by Fire & Rescue NSW officers.

Both drivers were treated at the scene for suspected head and pelvic injuries by Ambulance Paramedics and airlifted to Canberra Hospital for further treatment.

Three other occupants of the Honda, a 37-year-old man, an eight year old boy and a one year old boy were also treated at the scene and taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for observation.

Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command continue with their investigations into the circumstances leading up to the collision.
