Serious injuries after fight in Waverley

Inquiries continue after two men were seriously injured, and another remains missing after a fight in Sydney’s east, NSW Police say.

About 2.10am (11 February 2017), two males, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 30s, became involved in a fight on Albion Street, Waverley.

During the fight the males went through a glass window of a residence, causing injuries to the men. A third male attempted to break up the fight and was also injured.

Police from Eastern Suburbs LAC attended. The male who attempted to break up the fight was found with a wound to his arm and a significant wound to his thigh which requires surgery. He has been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.

Another male also had serious injuries including a fractured eye socket and abdominal injuries. He attended Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.

The third male has not been located. Police have urged him to come forward.

A crime scene has been established and police from Eastern Suburbs LAC are conducting inquiries.
