Serious motorcycle crash at Enoggera, QLD

In the third serious motorcycle crash on Brisbane roads this evening a man in his 30’s has been transported to hospital following a single vehicle crash at Enoggera, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary information indicates the motorcycle the man was riding crashed on Sicklefield Road around 10pm with police appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.

The man, who is believed to be aged in his 30s, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment to suspected serious internal injuries.

Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit continue.

September 16, 2016Fatal traffic crash, Calamvale7.35pm

A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Calamvale this evening.

Initial investigations suggest just before 7pm a motorcycle was travelling along Nottingham Road when it left the road and collided with a fence.

Emergency services attended however the rider, a 40-year-old Calamvale man, was unable to be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.

September 16, 2016Serious traffic crash, Ashgrove8.35pm

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious two vehicle traffic crash in Ashgrove this afternoon.

Initial investigations indicate just after 5pm a motorcycle was travelling south along Jubilee Terrace when it collided with a car at the intersection of Bryant Street as the car attempted to negotiate the intersection.

The motorcycle rider, a 37-year-old man from Springfield was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
