Tasmania Police and Emergency Services attended a single vehicle crash on the Huon Hwy near the town boundary of Huonville on the northern approach at approximately 7.40 pm on Saturday the 13th of January 2018, Tasmania Police say.
Due to the serious nature of the crash police were forced to close the road for the safety of emergency serviced personnel in attendance and to allow a detailed examination of the crash scene to occur.
The three male occupants were conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment with one passenger, a 21 year old male from Lucaston, in a critical condition.
Investigating police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a Maroon coloured Subaru Outback Station Wagon being driven on the Huon Hwy or Lucaston Grove area around 7.20 to 7.40pm on Saturday the 13th of January 2018.
Police are appealing for drivers to adjust their speed for the conditions.
