Police are investigating a serious traffic crash at Carindale this morning which has left a motorcyclist in a critical condition in hospital, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary information suggests at around 6.50am a garbage truck and motorcycle have both been travelling east along Old Cleveland Road when a collision has occurred after Scrub Road.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 58-year-old Petrie man, received serious neck and head injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
