A woman has been airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition after a two vehicle traffic crash at Innisfail this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate at 4.10pm a car and cement truck were both headed south on the Bruce Highway when they have collided near the intersection with Rifle Range Road.
The driver of the car, a Innisfail woman in her 50s, was airlifted to the Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the truck, a 26-year-old Innisfail man, was not physically injured in the crash.
There were no passengers in either vehicle and investigations are continuing.
