Serious traffic crash at Milbong, QLD

Police are investigating following a serious traffic crash at Milbong, south of Ipswich this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Initial information suggests around 2.30pm a car travelling along Ipswich-Boonah Road crashed into a ditch near Johnson Road, trapping the two occupants inside.

Emergency services attended the scene and were able to free two women from the vehicle.

The passenger, a 65-year-old Boonah woman, received serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The driver, a 73-year-old Boonah woman, received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to the PA Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
