Police are investigating a serious traffic crash at Southport this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Initial information indicate around 5.50pm a 45-year-old man was crossing Marine Parade when he was struck by a utility travelling in a southerly direction.
The man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the utility is assisting police with their investigation.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
