Police are investigating a serious, two vehicle traffic crash on the Captain Cook Highway, Queensland Police say.
Initial information suggests around 12.20 pm a truck and a ute have collided near the intersection with Rudder Street and have left the roadway.
The extent of injuries is not yet known.
The Captain Cook Highway is closed in both directions with diversions for Northbound traffic along Rudder Street and Southbound traffic being turned around.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
