Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Ayr early this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 3.30am, officers responded to reports of a single vehicle motorcycle crash at Queen Street.
Investigations indicate the rider of motorcycle was travelling south on Queen Street when he lost control whilst attempting to negotiate the roundabout at Queen and Little Drysdale Streets.
A man in his 30s was flown to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.
Police are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage who may have witnessed the incident or a red Yamaha motorcycle driving in the area around that time to come forward.
