Police are investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred in Gympie last night, Queensland Police say.
Around 9.55 pm, officers responded to reports that a woman had been hit by a truck north of Gympie on the Bruce Highway.
A woman in her 20s was taken to Gympie Hospital with serious head injuries.
The truck driver didn’t sustain any physical injures as a result of the crash.
The Bruce Highway was closed for a number of hours, but has since re-opened.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
