Serious traffic crash in Maroochydore, QLD

Investigators are appealing for information following a serious traffic crash involving a motorcycle and a SUV in Maroochydore yesterday afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate the motorcycle was travelling west along Bradman Avenue when it collided with a Ford Territory as the SUV entered Bradman Avenue from the Sunshine Motorway.

The rider, a 35-year-old woman, was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment of serious head and neck injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash cam vision from the area to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
