Serious traffic crash in Munruben, QLD

Two women have suffered critical injuries following a serious two vehicle traffic crash in Munruben this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Initial inquiries suggest at 4pm, a Honda Civic and a Volkswagen Amarok crashed in the southbound lanes of the Mount Lindsay Highway, 400m south of Grainger Road.

A 36-year-old Flagstone woman, the driver of the Amarok, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

A 77-year-old Algester woman, the driver of the Civic, was also transported to hospital (hospital unknown) with critical injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
