The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash in Southport this morning which has left a woman in a serious condition, Queensland Police say.
Initial information suggests at 1.25am, a taxi was travelling southbound on Scarborough Street when a female passenger, who was sitting in the rear of the vehicle, opened the sliding door and exited the car while it was in motion.
The woman was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Investigations are continuing.
