Serious traffic crash in West Woombye, QLD

Police are investigating a serious single vehicle crash in West Woombye last night.

Around 8.50pm emergency services received reports a car had crashed into a tree on Blackall Range Road.

The driver and sole occupant, a 21-year-old man, was trapped in the vehicle and freed by emergency services.

He was transported to the Nambour Hospital before being flown to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical conditon.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
