Serious Traffic Incident at Burpengary: Police Responding

Police were called at approximately 5.30pm on May 1, to a railway station at Burpengary regarding reports of approximately 15 people causing a disturbance.

Initial information indicates during the disturbance, a 38-year-old man was struck by two male persons who then ran from the scene.

A marked police vehicle was responding to the incident under lights and sirens southbound on Burpengary Road, when initial investigations indicate a man has run onto the road and been struck by the vehicle.

Police provided immediate first aid, and the 24-year-old man was transported in a serious but stable condition to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident, and ask anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
