Service station armed robbery - Forestville

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Sydney's north this morning.

About 4.40am (Thursday 15 April 2021), police were called to a service station on Warringah Road, near Cook Street, Forestville, after reports a man – armed with a knife – entered the store and threatened the attendant.

Police have been told the armed man stole cash, before fleeing on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being aged in his 20s or 30s and wearing a face covering.
