Seven arrested over drug supply, NSW

Seven people have been arrested after a series of search warrants targeting drug supply in the Macarthur region, NSW Police say.

Police from Camden Local Area Command formed Operation Treweeke III to target the supply of MDMA in the region.

About 6am today, police executed five simultaneous search warrants in Woodbine, Pleasure Point, Leumeah, Sefton, and Bradbury.

Throughout the operation police seized more than 680g of MDMA, and during the search warrants numerous vials of steroids, small amounts of cocaine, almost a kilogram of cannabis, along with more than $10,000 cash, eight pairs of knuckle dusters, and numerous mobile phones.

Police arrested a 21-year-old woman and six men aged 22, 24, 26 and 32, during the course of the warrants, with a sixth man, aged 25, arrested in Macquarie Fields.

They were taken to Narellan, Campbelltown and Bankstown Police Stations where they were charged. As a consequence, six people were refused bail overnight and are due to appear in Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow:

• A 21-year-old Woodbine woman has been charged with two counts of indictable supply of prohibited drug, and one count of supply commercial quantity of prohibited drug.

• A 22-year-old Bradbury man has been charged with nine offences: supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug, supply cannabis between indictable and commercial quantity, deal with property proceeds of crime, three counts of possess a prohibited drug, possess a prohibited plant, and possess a prohibited weapon.

• A 22-year-old Woodbine man has been charged with one count of supply large commercial quantity of MDMA; three counts of supply commercial quantity of drugs; four counts of supply indictable quantity of drugs; and deal with proceeds of crime.

• A 24-year-old Mt Annan man has been charged with one count of supply large commercial quantity of drugs; and four counts of supply commercial quantity of drugs.

• A 25-year-old Woodbine man has been charged with eight offences: one count of supply large commercial quantity of drugs; four counts of supply commercial quantity of drugs; and three counts of supply indictable quantity of drugs.

• A 26-year-old Holsworthy man has been charged with two counts of supply commercial quantity of drugs, two counts of possess anabolic or androgenic steroid, and possess prohibited weapon.

The seventh person arrested, a 32-year-old man from Sefton, has been charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, and deal with proceeds of crime. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 11 January 2017.
