Seven men have faced court charged with serious drug and firearm offences for their alleged involvement in a criminal syndicate supplying drugs across Sydney.
Officers from the Central Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad (RES) established Strike Force Cloudcroft in December 2025 to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs - specifically methylamphetamine and heroin - across Sydney.
Following extensive investigations into the criminal syndicate, strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a Granville home on Tuesday 20 January 2026 and eight homes in Hurstville, Riverwood, Revesby, and Beverly Hills yesterday (Thursday 29 January 2026).
During the warrants, police located and seized over 28kg of prohibited drugs, three firearms, more than 800 rounds of ammunition, more than $1 million in cash, a ballistic vest, and a large quantity of steroids.
Of the drugs seized, there were 24.9kg of methylamphetamine and 2.9kg, of heroin, with a combined potential street value of $3,000,000.
At Granville, a 26-year-old man was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with fifteen offences, including:
- supply prohibited drug large commercial quantity
- supply prohibited drug commercial quantity
- three counts of possess unauthorised pistol
- deal with proceeds of crime
- three counts of not keep firearm safely - pistol
- two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit
- possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority
- acquire pistol part without authority to do so
- possess DECCD to commit serious criminal activity
- fail to comply with digital evidence access order direction
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 21 January 2026, before being remanded to appear on Thursday 23 March 2026.
During yesterday's warrants, five men - aged 30, 31, 32, 33, 65 - were arrested and were taken to Hurstville Police Station where they were charged with numerous offences including, large commercial drug supply, deal with proceeds of crime, participate in criminal group. They were all refused bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court today (Friday 30 January 2026).
A sixth man, aged 68, was charged with offences including supply indictable quantity of drugs, deal with proceeds of crime. He was granted conditional bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 17 March 2026.
